We have used Coinbase and Metamask as examples, there are other exchanges and wallets you could choose to use.
Step 1 is opening a crypto account To get started you will need to open an account on a Crypto Currency Exchange. Coinbase is a great option, however there are many others to choose from. Visit coinbase.com and click “Get Started” You will be asked to verify your identity this is called KYC (Know Your Customer)
Step 2 is funding your account with currency and buying some Ethereum. Once your account is set-up, link a bank account or credit card to your account to be able to purchase Ethereum and other crypto currency. Linking a bank account or credit card gets you verified and enables you to purchase Ethereum to transfer to your Meta Mask Wallet and enable you to purchase an NFT on opensea.io.
Step 3 is setting up a MetaMask Wallet and transferring some Ethereum into the Wallet from your Crypto Currency account. This is a simple video showing how to set up a MetaMask Wallet. A MetaMask wallet funded with Ethereum allows you to bid and purchase NFTs on opensea.io. A Metamask wallet also holds NFTS once they have been purchased!
How do I set up a MetaMask Wallet?
Download and install the MetaMask browser extension through their website.
Select “Create a Wallet.”
Create a username and password.
It is important to pay close attention to your uniquely assigned Secret Recovery Phrase. If you lose this series of words or forget what order they’re in, you will lose access to your wallet and it will be unrecoverable. We recommend writing the phrase on a piece of paper and storing it in a memorable, safe, and secure spot.
Step 4 is going to opensea.io and participating in an NFTS4Charity auction and donating to a charity project!
